Séminaire des doctorants donné par Guillaume BORNET du groupe Optique Quantique, le 31 mars 2022 à 13h15 dans l'auditorium de l'Institut d'Optique de Palaiseau, sur le thème : " Exploration of spin models on array of Rydberg atoms ".

Résumé : " In the context of quantum simulation we focus on the exploration of spin models. I will describe our quantum simulator based on arrays of Rydberg atoms and the results :

- We use the resonant dipole-dipole interaction between Rydberg atoms and a periodic external microwave field to engineer XXZ spin Hamiltonians with tunable anisotropies.
-  We experimentally realized for the first time a quantum Heisenberg XX ferromagnet and an antiferromagnet in a two-dimensional square Rydberg-atom array. "
