Photopolymérisation par irradiation plasmonique

PhD students' seminar given by Lionel Lartigue from the Biophotonics group, on 17 February 2022 at 1.15pm in the auditorium of the Institut d'Optique in Palaiseau, and on videoconference, on the topic: "Surface Plasmon Resonance applied to in-situ detection of metal ions in the oceans".

Abstract: "The development of an in-situ sensor for the monitoring of the concentration of metallic ions in oceans and freshwaters is still a challenge. To detect multiple different metallic ions, it needs to be a multi-channels sensor. A SPR based sensor is a good candidate. The gold film is illuminated by a finite number of different wavelengths. The spectral position of the plasmonic resonance is calculated, from this set of images, over the whole gold film. The adsorption of a chemical specie on the surface leads to a shift of this spectral position which is proportional to the concentration of the chemical specie."
